About me
My name is Arnout van Krimpen. I’m a multidisciplinary artist and cultural professional with a strong commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the arts. I studied at the Utrecht School of the Arts and the Academy of Theatre and Cabaret in Amsterdam.
As one of the creators of the Amsterdam Rainbow Dress and director of the Amsterdam Rainbow Dress Foundation, I use artivism—the intersection of art and activism—to highlight issues of gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights. I also work at the Rijksmuseum, the Dutch national museum, where I helped develop a public program on LGBTQIA+ history in the Netherlands to foster greater visibility and understanding.
