With a remit spanning creative content and campaigns, brand communications, digital strategy, and HIV advocacy, Morrison has established himself as a powerful voice for LGBTQ+ representation and health equity.
Morrison's media career includes significant roles as a longtime journalist and producer at prestigious outlets including Good Morning America, Disney, CNN, ABC, and Time, where he developed expertise in storytelling that moves both people and culture. During his tenure as senior social media producer at Good Morning America (August 2020-August 2022), he focused specifically on stories impacting the LGBTQ+ community and created the network's first Pride-focused programming series, which earned a GLAAD award.
His advocacy work extends beyond professional accomplishments to deeply personal storytelling about HIV awareness and mental health. In 2021, GLAAD nominated Morrison for a media award recognizing his courageous essay about secretly living with HIV for more than eight years, while Plus Magazine named him its 2021 Person of the Year. His recent work includes publishing pieces on new World Health Organization guidance regarding sexual transmission of HIV, demonstrating his continued commitment to public health education.
Morrison hosts +Life Media's web series "Truth Be Told," which focuses on mental health awareness, while creating resource groups for LGBTQ+ colleagues within major media organizations like ABC. His approach combines professional media expertise with authentic personal storytelling to address stigma and advance understanding around HIV, mental health, and LGBTQ+ experiences.
As a three-time Emmy-winning producer and accomplished speaker, Morrison continues to build bridges between mainstream media and LGBTQ+ advocacy, using his platform to create more inclusive narratives while advancing critical health and social justice initiatives within the media landscape.
