About me
Myles Markham is a transmasculine Native Hawaiian/Japanese American who has worked in the movement for LGBTQIA2S+ rights and dignity for over a decade. Myles has contributed to various initiatives across the non-profit and religious sectors related to education, advocacy, community organizing, fundraising, direct services, and documentary film production. Their expertise spans liberative religious and spiritual practices, policy development, base-building, education, economic justice, and shifting the national narrative around BIPOC transgender and non-binary people in moderate to conservative communities.
Myles is a key figure in several LGBTQIA2S+ organizations, including Trans Lifeline (full-time staff), Transmission Ministry Collective (board member) and Level Ground (board member) where they lead strategic planning processes, design and implement campaigns, and provide organizational leadership and oversight. Through their advocacy, Markham has worked in the Midwest, Deep South, and now the West Coast, becoming a trusted voice in the fight for queer and trans rights and dignity, both at the grassroots level and in broader policy discussions.
