HRC FOUNDATION: ADVANCING LGBTQ+ EQUALITY THROUGH RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND SYSTEMIC CHANGE
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1984, works to create a world where all LGBTQ+ people can fully participate in the systems shaping daily life. Through strategic initiatives spanning education, workplace, technology, and economic empowerment, the Foundation implements a proven model for sustainable change that reaches LGBTQ+ individuals across all demographics and life stages.
The Foundation's approach combines rigorous research with practical tools and training to build understanding, transform policies, empower advocates, and advance equality at local, national, and global levels. Key programs include AI & Tech Advocacy combating online hate and algorithmic bias; Economic Empowerment providing critical financial navigation skills; Stakeholder Engagement leveraging corporate influence for policy change; Welcoming Schools offering elementary-level bias-based bullying prevention; and Workplace Equality advancing inclusive employment practices worldwide.
Amid unprecedented attacks on LGBTQ+ rights, the HRC Foundation's work complements HRC's advocacy by building the evidence base, resources, and partnerships necessary to change hearts, minds, and systems across America and globally. Through these coordinated efforts, the Foundation enhances the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ people and their families while creating more inclusive institutions in every sector of society.
