INTERPRIDE:
ADVANCING THE GLOBAL PRIDE MOVEMENT THROUGH COLLABORATION AND COORDINATION InterPride serves as the premier international organization advancing the global Pride movement through strategic coordination with partners worldwide who share its commitment to LGBTQIA2S+ visibility and rights. Founded in 1982 as a small network of six USA Pride organizers, InterPride has evolved into a global force connecting over 300 organizations across more than 60 countries, with significant growth in representation from Oceania and the Global South.
The organization's unique position enables it to strengthen Pride platforms at regional and local levels, bringing together diverse SOGIESC (Sexual Orientations, Gender Identities and Expressions, and Sex Characteristics) communities to share knowledge and best practices. Through its management of WorldPride™, global grant programs, and related initiatives, InterPride creates opportunities for Pride organizers to learn from each other while amplifying their collective impact.
As the Pride movement continues to expand into new regions and develop stronger national and international networks, InterPride leverages this growing infrastructure to advance LGBTQIA2S+ rights in diverse contexts. By connecting Pride organizers across borders, InterPride facilitates the exchange of regional expertise and strategies that strengthen the global movement for equality, visibility, and human rights for all SOGIESC communities.
