This profound panel brings together diverse faith leaders and theologians to explore the spiritual foundations for LGBTQIA2S+ human rights advocacy across religious traditions. Through thoughtful dialogue that honors both sacred texts and lived experiences, participants will examine how faith communities are reconciling historical interpretations with contemporary understandings of human dignity, creating pathways toward more inclusive theological frameworks and faith-based advocacy.
Panelists will address:
  • Theological resources within diverse traditions that affirm LGBTQIA2S+ dignity and worth
  • Historical examples of how religious communities have evolved on human rights issues
  • Strategies for healing spiritual trauma while building bridges across theological differences
  • Intersectional approaches to understanding LGBTQIA2S+ experiences within faith contexts
  • Models for translating spiritual values into effective human rights advocacy
This unique conversation features voices from multiple faith traditions who bring both scholarly insight and practical experience in navigating the complex relationship between religious belief and LGBTQIA2S+ inclusion. Special attention will be given to distinguishing between cultural biases that have shaped interpretations and the deeper spiritual values that support universal human rights.
